Wine Advocate The large-scaled, opulent 2003 was made from yields of 17 hectoliters per hectare. Its dense plum/purple color is accompanied by a flamboyant nose of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, plums, figs, and road tar. This full-bodied, opulent St.-Emilion exhibits creme de cassis and kirsch-like flavors, low acidity, ripe tannin, and a savory, expansive mouthfeel. It can be drunk now and over the next 15+ years. Score: 94. —Robert Parker, April 2006.
Wine Spectator Aromas of blackberry, chocolate and flowers follow through to a full-bodied palate, with very soft tannins and a long, sweet fruit finish. Delicious already. Napa in St.-Emilion. Best after 2007. 415 cases made. Score: 92. —James Suckling, March 31, 2006.
