Colour: Rich, dark purple.

Nose: Black fruits with a hint of savoury oak.

Palate: Lovely, ripe fruit showing plums and blackberries. It has great control on acidity and oak, and finishes with lovely savoury tannins.

Food: Barbecues, Antipasto Plates, Pizza, Pasta.

Wine Spectator Lithe, supple and appealing for its juicy plum and currant fruit, riding lightly over fine-grained tannins. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Drink now through 2010. 1,800 cases imported. Score: 87. —Harvey Steiman, October 15, 2007.
