Aromas of berries and spice, balanced oak toast and plum fruit rise from the glass, bringing back memories of strawberry jam cooking in the kitchen Floral characters mix with the rich, ripe fruit and are abundantly present along with hints of chocolate, pepper and spice. This has a well structured mouthfeel with a sweet texture to the moderate tannins (slightly more than last year,), making an enjoyable Zinfandel now in its youth or with additional bottle age, a more complex food friendly wine.
