Wine Spectator Very ripe, this displays hints of raisin and fig notes augmenting its plum and blackberry. There's also spice from new oak, all allied to firm, ripe tannins and succulent texture. Wine Enthusiast A dark, brooding wine from superripe grapes. There is a lot of structure, though not much fruit at this point. Very dry and firm, with its richness coming from its concentrated tannins. This certainly needs to age, 5–10 years at least. Score: 92. —Roger Voss, March 01, 2007.
