Massaya

A fruity, supple and easy to drink wine. Manual harvesting in September. Double grape selection: plot harvesting and manual selection on the conveyor belt. Air pump press and low temperature alcoholic fermentation, bottling the following February.

Wine Advocate

The 2011 Blanc is a blend of Clairette (35%), Obeidi (35%), Sauvignon Blanc (15%) and Chardonnay (15%). Clean and crisp, with a touch of a grassy note as it warms up, this is quite tasty, with a fruitier finish eventually emerging after a lemon-lime start. There is good depth for a wine in this price category and a bit of a kick for a white that sometimes seem like a summer sipper-13.5%. It will likely be at its best when young, fresh and invigorating. This summer should be perfect. Drink now-2014.

Score: 86. —Mark Squires, February 2012.
