Bernard Morey Chassagne Montrachet Vide Bourse 2005
Burghound Note: from 80 year old vines Tasting note: There is enough wood here to be noticeable if again not really intrusive that serves as a background for the airy white flower and slightly riper orchard fruit aromas nuanced by hints of herbs and oak spice that merge into rich, full and powerful flavors that possess real size and muscle yet there is good freshness and punch on the complex, long and serious finish. They don't call this appellation a "mini-Bâtard" for nothing and it lives up to its reputation in 2005. Tasted: Jul 01, 2007 Score: 92 Drink: 2011+ - Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding! Score: 92. —Allen Meadows, July 01, 2007. |
